Which route should I take???
Which route should I take???
I have at the moment a 420bhp 996 turbo tuned to around 500bhp with a re-map and exhaust, but I have the optoin to go for an X50 996 turbo tuned to 560bhp with a re-map exhaust and headers.
I was going to tune my car but I think it might be wise to go for the X50 car with the money I was going to spend on tuning.
Costs:
Sell my car for $100,000 and buy tuned X50 for $110,000,or
keep my car and spend $10,000 on tuning it.
What do you guys think I should do I sell it or tune it?
Also what is the drive like with the k24's compared to the k16's and would I feel a big difference in the power increase or not much?

I will do my friend but just wondered if anyone has experience in these particular cars with the mods i have mentioned.

like mark said in another thread.... you dont hear any gt2 owners complain about lag....

I quoted the figures in dollars but I live in the U.K. so prices are different.

is there a 996 turbo that still sells for that much?

I think it is a no brainer.....you have a good car just mod up!! all you need are hybrid turbos and reprograming. Maybe new intercoolers and you should have a car equal to and possibly better in some ways than the X-50. All the trouble of the car swap and then the additional mods to the new car make this a large money loss for no reason. Just my 2 cents as a modded X-50 owner there is nothing special about the car that cant be recreated with your car. But I must admit I think the whole lag thing is an issue blown WAY out of proportion. So dont make decisions based on that.

I am in agreement with the above and also have this thought you may not have taken into consideration. Here in Nevada you pay sales tax on a car purchase. This could run anywhere between $5K to $10K based on original sticker price and a depreciation schedule. If you have laws like that also you will be more behind than you think on the new car purchase.
