Shank-
What Xtant amp did you use to power the 6 MB quarts? Did with 2 mid-ranges in the rear, 2 in the door, and a pair of tweeters on the dash or something different?

Which Alpine head unit is it; I can't tell by the pictures?

reus has changed some of their components. The system they just installed had the door speakers mounted on hardwood when in the past they used MDF. It is custom/specifically for the 996. You have to hear it to believe it and it looks stock and can be moved to your next car easily

I am all about the Focal speakers and either Zapco or Audison amps. EM has the most out of control install I have seen In a turbo.

I got Pioneer 7500 (touch screen) with Pioneer DVD Navigation, focal utopia crossovers, focal utopia speakers fronts, rears. Two JL W6s subs, 20 cd-changers, Zapco Competition 400watts & 600 watts amps, 15" wide screen LCD in the trunk with full motorized capabilities... still waiting for my XM digital reciever... so far it sounded hardcore!

Aftermarket is the way to go for sure. Here is an old post where I tried to help someone out.

Aftermarket components will give you much better sound quality IMHO. With that said you still have to pick the right equipment and have it installed well.
