Gary, Peter,

Your vote is definately known, and I love the 543R, hell I love the 542R and 545R also, what about bending?? That is my major hangup right now.

Lou,

a lot of tough choices. I've never seen the sportech's but like them also the 543R. Curious why so many with the 542R have eventually changed to something else. good luck

Peter, and anyone else who can answer this.

I know the Carg racing has the same large rear lip, however, I have heard from more than one person that they just are not prone to bending as the HRE's are. Is that true or a sales ploy?? Have to be pretty darn strong to pass TUV approval, no?

i assume you gave the road info because you're worried about bending/denting rims. For this reason i would not go with the techarts or the sportechs because they are not multi-piece, eventhough i like them the best.

With a multi-piece wheel you will be able to replace just the rim for significantly less than it would cost to buy a whole wheel.

The strongest of the 19's pictured would be the one piece techarts for defense against horid roads. Not to say they cant bend, but will hold up better than the multi piece, imo

Personally, I really love the Sportec and TechArts (from your selection). Overall best looking IMHO are RUFs. Can you tell I'm not a lip fan? lol
Considering the bad roads though, I'd serisouly look into some 18" ...

I think that for your roads getting 19's is a big mistake. Get some 18's and be able to drive without all the anxiety.

Just my .02 worth...

At first I said I'd go with the sportecs. Still a tough call, but here was ex car. Perhaps its time for the rebirth of THE BLACK BEAST

I am one of those people... I love my 542R's... I just wanted a black center and decided to just sell the 542R's and get new wheels with black centers. I was going to get the 542R's in black, but figured that I liked Fred's wheels also, so why not get something different and go with 543R's.. The change had nothing to do with not wanting the 542R's.... Also with black I wanted a center that showed the bolts all the way around the wheel like the 543's not the 542's.

well I hate to be the one to tell you this but it will really really suck if the road conditions are bad ... i waited three months for my wheels and tires, first day I got them on I drove over a road titty and bent two wheels and ruined two brand new tires .... set me back $1250 .... as time went on I realised that I was alway's scared or watching out for little things .... the really tiny road ******* right before the toll booth to warn you so slow down ... anyway's I found out going over those too fast put a tiny bend in two wheels and air would leak our really slow ... repaired again ... I've sold my wheels since (getting a new car) and since I've gone back to stock I'm very relieved and have no worries anymore when I drive ... almost care free, it feels good!!

Just my .02 pennies
Dario
