Wheel Pics, Need Assistance

Ok, here's the deal. I live in Chicago, roads are probably the worst in the USA. Road imperfections abound. Potholes, road work everywhere and are really unavoidable. With that in mind, which wheels should I get of the below choices?? 8.5x19 front, 11x19 rear.

--HRE--
thinking of 542R--2"front/4"rear

or 543R

or 545R
couldn’t find pics of silver center with polished lip, anyone help out?

--Techart Formula 19's

--ROH Modena

--Sportec

--Cargraphic Racing

I like the Sportec and ROH. If you go w/ the Techart, I like the version where the sides of the spokes are painted black (and not the entire spoke). I think it's in the By Design magazine ads.

If the roads are that bad, why not go with 18" wheels? The increased sidewall would surely offer better protection for the rims and an improved ride.

My choice would be a set of 543's.

I could go that route and would definately improve sidewall strenght, however, I like the look of the 19's, I do not track my car or anything, just the roads are so bad. How about going with a 295 series 19, that should help or maybe as you suggest, go with 315 series but in 18's ala GT2. Tough call, I can just see bending those HRE lips and having to send the wheel in and waiting a month to get them back, not a great thing.

Any of you HRE guys drive on awful roads? What has been your experiences with bending?

What's up Stephen, how you been? We need to get together soon, its been to long, Midnight run??

Here are my reservations. Sportecs for the turbo I found out look like Ryan's on his RS6. Looks great on the RS6, but, on a turbo, why even bother with a 1" lip, might as well get a lip if I am going to get a lip. The pics of the Sportec look like there isn't really a lip, which is a nice clean look, however, Ryan sent me pics of the turbo sportec wheels and they do not look like the pic I posted, RYAN CAN YOU POST THOSE SPORTEC PICS YOU SENT ME? Also, they do not come in the finish shown on the pic I posted, they only come in gun metal or polished. I wanted silver.

The ROH are awesome, but, Australian wheel, what happens if it bends, send back to Australia??? They have a grey center also and I want silver, otherwise they would be perfect. This entire process sucks, so many nice wheels, but negatives to all of them. I know the Techarts are strong and I can get them fixed easily, but, BBS stopped making them for Techart and they are not available anywhere. They are not even in production yet in Germany, from what I here they are 2-3 months away!! Cargraphic Racing are TUV approved so I bet they are pretty strong, just am uncertain if I want that look. Seems played out?

HRE, wheel bending is a major concern, you know our streets.

With the new info, what do you think??

Lou
