How quiet is Europipe quiet?

I'm debating on whether I should change my exhaust with the ECU. Obviously I would like the benefits of a more free flowing exhaust, but I kind of like the car quiet the way it is. I hear the Europipe is a great exhaust, and that the "quiet" version is not much louder than stock. Does that sound about right? Any other good exhausts I should consider that are not super loud?

It is not loud at all. The only times you notice increase in dbs is when you jump on the gas or after a shift and the revs go down. What is different is the SOUND. It is exotic without being overdone. It is rich without being whiny. It does not resonate to my ears inside the cabin, but people traveling behind you or who are outside the car can really tell a difference. Everyone at my dealership LOVES it. If you are interested in allowing the ECU to fully take advantage of the engine, you need to change the exhaust anyway. And if OEM is any kind of concern at all, the muffler looks exactly OEM because it starts as OEM. It is my favorite mod. The Aural note will convince you when you hear it. Good Luck I have EP II quiet in a 996 TT X-50 and love it. good luck

Love mine also.. The deep sound at idle is great... It is louder then stock for sure. But not to loud at all.

Pretty quiet. Just enough umph at idle and WOT to make on comers look up.

I live locally and have the Europipe on my car and love it ... I'm selling it really really cheap because it's 400 not 100 cell kats so if you want to test drive and hear the sound I'm down the street ... I've dyno'd the exhaust and got a little over 5hp for $4000+ .... you can also feel the power of the UPSOLUTE chip ....

I'm out of town in Tahoe until the 20th so drop me a PM after then ...

Dario
