GT Purely Porsche -> Supercharged 996
yes, that was with a 3.4L. todd is apparently getting gobs more power from the 3.6L. the 249 stock base line is at the wheels and implies a 17% hp drivetrain loss. using the same 17%, you get appx 440 from the 3.4L kit. a turbo should still take this (the 3.4, but probably not the 3.6) owing to their relative % of max lbs available being much earlier in the power curve - though the 500 lb weight savings of the c2 over the turbo makes things interesting despite the turbos ability to put it all to the ground with the AWD (even if it has a higher drivetrain loss as a result).

Haven't dynoed mine yet, but Todd tells me I'm supposed to have 420 now. Mine's a '99 C4 Cab and I've been able to hang(for the most part) with several turbos. The car is a blast. Hey, maybe we need to have a get together with everyone who's done a supercharger? 2 of us from DC area with several more probables over next month or two. How about somewhere this summer? Hani, Ben, et al interested?

xfifty: It's a bolt on installation. Only changes are upgraded injectors, remapped ECU, add a 3rd radiator, and run a hose to the front nose of the car for air intake. Trans, tires, et al stays the same. I already had gemballa suspension so some may want to mod the suspension as well to handle the new power.

"What other modifications do they make to the car? I'm sure it's not only the engine the other parts have to keep up as well like transmission tyres and so forth, right?"
you don't "need" or "have" to change anything else, but i chose to intall the stronger clutch and lightweight flywheel. the former feels bone stock and the later vastly increases the rev speed while generating noise at idle.
