Homework - Performance from 60 - 150mph

Homework

I have some homework for you guys, your car performance from 60 - 150 mph. I will be travelling down to Techart and RUF in a couple of weeks driving some fast cars and would be interested in some comparison between europan and american tuners. I have tested my own car and got 13,5s between 60 -150, started at 40 mph in third gear and then max power. It would be nice to see what kind of figures you achive. Even if this isn“t the most accurate kind of performance test it gives an indication of power.

Thanks
Peter

Where do you suggest that the tuned Porsches do this? Highways are nice and all, but we dont have unlimited MPH (kmph) highways like you boys in europe

OH ****, WE DON'T? No wonder I have all these speeding tickets.

Seriously, I always thought this was the best test for modern supercars. After all, aren't we all just spending 0-60 getting the tars hooked up? Especially those of us without four wheel drive.

i say the new benchmark should be 0-185mph. this would then be comparable to our eurobro's 0-300kph.

Stay up a little bit later or go up early when the freeway is uncrowded. Shouldn't be a problem for most people.

A 100-200, 100-250 km/h run is safe, quick and won't damage cluthes etc.

Also, even with a stopwatch, it's fairly accurate.

did you measure 562HP to the wheels on a dyno or is that engine dyno number? By the way, strong acceleration number.
