Oak, you're way off. Believe me, I have designed and fabricated my share of stuff from automotive parts to business mfg. equipment. I opted to buy this piece for convienence. Big deal...I'm a busy guy and have to prioritize my time.

I have no personal experience with either the EVOMS or the FVD unit (other than obtaining interior diameter measurements on the FVD unit). I use the Gemballa unit, which has smooth inner walls and a larger interior diameter than the FVD unit.
