I had the FVD. the only beef I had was the flimsy clamps that came with it.... other then that I loved it...
If u look at the EVOMS it does not replace thew whole plenum liek the FVD but rather the second part it.
Honestly, if I was going to do it all over again, I would go to Home depot buy some vacuum hose.,.. attach it like in the Evoms picture and be done with it....

The FVD unit is the best flowing although the stock one isnt that bad. I think the major gains are from replacing the piping after the intake manifold.

I have the FVD unit but I am not really impressed with the fit. I am going to be making some units that are same style as the FVD units but without the huge indent in them for the fuel filter. I am going to be installing a smaller aftermarket fuel filter. If your interested in one let me know. I also have a modified stock intake FS that will accept 2.5" hose.

You need one. Your car will not run without it

I've had both and they both have improved airflow, that's for sure... EVO one is smooth inside...

The EVO unit is actually bigger. Rob, you already have that unit in the car.

First though you _need_ to get one of those throttle body t-pipe plenums. Without that the car won't even start!

I am shooting for a price of half what the other kits go for. Should have more info and pics by next weekend.

Make sure to post what you come up with. Like Markski said there are easy ways to do this.

I chose the EVO after my tuner (and a couple of other tuners) suggested turbulence with the FVD tubing. After seeing the EVO unit in person, it is obvious if one could come up with a suitable tubing that would retain it's shape and integrity under all conditions - it would be very inexpensive to fabricate a similar piece. That said, it's convenient to just buy the piece and be done...as opposed to try to reinvent the wheel, only to discover something doesn't work quite right and the job has to be re-done. The Evo piece is well designed and very strong (1/8 - 1/4" thick walled plastic tubing).
