Looking for some IC hoses

If anyone has a set of 4 IC hoses (in any condition) that you would like to part with please contact me. I want to fab some out of aluminum and need a set as a template. Thanks!

Chris

alu is _not_ a good idea. Heat soak and there's flex/movement and that'll lead to cracking. Use the hoses... there are plenty of kits out there. I popped mine in some 3.5 years ago and the only time they come out is when we pull the motor....

Excellent responses. The primary reason I want to do this is to lower the temp of the intake charge. Absolutely, the post-IC tubing within the engine bay will suffer from heat soak and must be insulated. But the lower pre-IC tubing can release heat into the ambient air, which is constantly being circulated when the car is moving. What I'm worried about is exactly what Sharky stated...those are short hoses and I do not know how much torque flex occurs there. I guess I will find out! Too many silicone couplers and the flow efficiency is degraded. I still want to try it. It's gets ridiculously hot here in the summer.
