Chad,
Below is a graph of our PREVIOUS dynomometer results. It is an overlay of hp and torque for both Sean and I.

Legend:
Sean HP = Green
KPV HP = Purple
Sean TQ = Blue
KPV TQ = Brown

I have a graph of my previous results vs my new results in my possession but I would prefer AWE post this since it will appear in the same format. I would have to take a digital picture of my sheet whereas Todd at AWE can create a jpg file from the screen as he did above.
My previous results were 490.8whp and 474.6wtq
My new results were 504.4whp and 486.3wtq
The graphs are 100% identical in profile except the new results are shifted up that small degree. This indicates to me that my results were better through the entire rev range and not just at the max values.

Well, TonyNJ and I were the only ones brave enough to take our beasts out for a ride today. The snow made everyone else seek cover. It is a good thing though!!! There was a lot of horsepower and torque being thrown about!!
As some of you know, my last dyno attempt yielded results that seemed a little too low for the GIAC Stage IV. I attributed this to the wastegate adjustment on one of the turbos. As the story goes, the waste gate actuator was bent on arrival thus requiring a replacement. Well, once the replacement was installed, it had to be adjusted. I did the best I could to position it like the old one, but I just wasn't totally sure. After the last dyno day, I vowed to properly adjust them and run another test.
So, today was it.
My best figures were 504.4 wheel hp and 486.3 ft-lbs wheel torque.
Now that is more like it!!

It was fun and I want to thank Todd and Mike for having us. I also want to thank Tony.........again!!

How much more power you think you left on the table with the wastgate problem. I have a Stage 2 and hit 505 ft/lbs at the wheel!! Shouldn't the Stage 4 be much higher torque than a Stage 2??

Lou,
Something sounds odd with what you wrote. Do you have a dyno sheet to show your results. Are you sure you are talking about wheel numbers?
I looked at the claimed engine specs for the Stage 2 upgrade on EVO's website and it appears you should be at 510hp and 520 ft-lbs at the crank.
http://www.evoms.com/p996tt%20tuning%20L2.htm

My numbers seem to agree with just over 600hp and torque at the crank with the appropriate factor applied.

Positive. Todd and Stephen were both there. Below is a link to StephenTI's dyno graph from the day we dynoed our cars, my curves were similar, just a little lower peak hp and a lower a/f ratio, mine was like 11ish:

ebaker,

You want bang for your buck, the mods on the car from the link I posted........

Upsolute Chip-------$500.00

RWHP 455hp
RWTQ 505 lb/ft

Corrected Flywheel numbers, with StephenTI's comments:
to calculate for the correction factor, you are suppose to divide your measured power by (1.0 - correction factor). So, in my case, using a correction factor of 15%, you get:

454.9 RWHP = (454.9 / .85) crank hp = 535 Crank HP
504.8 RWtq = (504..8 / .85) crank hp = 594 Crank Tq

For you proof geeks, the correction ratio is multiplied by the crank hp to get resultant whp, therefor, to derive the crank from the whp, one must divide the whp by the correction factor to get crank. QED.

Lou, Now I am even more confused. Perhaps I really didn't pay attention to my 2002 AWD Stage 4 program. Lou, what was my GT2's torque??

THis is the dyno result of my black AWD turbo with Stage 4....

Notice 554 Torque. What was my stage 4 GT - GT2 torque again? 558 Right?

Racerx, if were referring to my dyno sheet i just posted, that was Stage 4. I just double checked my Stage 4GT dyno sheet, and it read 472TQ. So i Guess the stage 4 GT has less torque than Stage 4. SO this is why my black turbo felt faster than my gt2. It has 70 more torque than the GT2. And Stephen Ti has 48 more torque over the GT2 as well.

Well Imagine Auto and Evo are coming up next Wed or Thurs to fix the proramming, so I hope this gets resolved. 554 TQ for my Stage 4 AWD Turbo.....so then what should I expect from the Stage 4GT/GT2? 600RWTQ?

Well hopefully everything will be worked out. As stated above, my dyno chart looks almost identical to Stephen's, except he made about 10 more peak hp, torque was even. What I do not understand is how my Stage 2 has 33 more lb/ft than your stage 4GT and why I have more torque than the above graphs of the stage 4 and Ruf?? I am sure everything will be worked out once Stephen and Todd come. We'll see, hang in there buddy.

Wasnt the dyno used at the Porsche Exchange a 2 wheel dyno? If not, did you guys disconnect the front drive shaft? If either is the case, that would explain LSMs higher WTQ figures.

The whp/wtq figures from a Mustang AWD dyno is generally about 10-15% lower than that of other dynos...thus the reason why a lot of people want to dyno on 2 wheel dynos....

2 wheel dynos = Higher WHP/WTQ

Yes, much will be resolved when Todd and Stephen come out. The bottom line is that the Stage 4GT cars should pull pretty hard on the Stage II and Upsolute car. Otherwise there is no point in owning one. Stephen is going to replace the turbos on my car and tweek a few things. We are all looking for some amazing results.
