Thumbs up DMK: So many choices...

Buddy I agree, this was not tuner problem and Don has
not blamed anyone. He drives his machinery hard, who doesnt??
I will throw in my $.02 worth of opinion. If you want a real unique
and interesting "one-off" build, I would send it to Todd (Proto) and
have him play around with some of his newer ideas. They will be building
another one-off "MONSTER" starting in the next few weeks, I believe the
car arrives in a couple of days.
Good luck whatever route you go!
I also would have a TT Viper just for scaring the **** out of myself !

Todd at Proto. I think that his very high hp designs are on another level, although GIAC's packages are also very good.

You let a car out of your workshop that can blow up? I don't think so. You limit the max boost.

I agree, the boost is the tuners job, not the drivers.

That's a retarded statement. If the boost was set via the programming, sure then it's the tuners fault. But once you start playing around with your own boost with a controller or otherwise, then all bets are off. How can the tuner be at fault when they set a car up with fuel and timing for a specified level of boost, and then you go over? I think this is common sense...

I agree, if someone has a boost controller than it is there fault, however, you would think if the car has stock internals and such that the tuner would set the boost, why would a tuner let a car leave knowing that someone is going to turn the boost to 20lbs + and blow the engine.

This is the KEY statement, why would a tuner install a boost controller........"How can the tuner be at fault when they set a car up with fuel and timing for a specified level of boost, and then you go over?"

Thanks for the agruments but let me set the record straight. Tunning is not my problem. The car at time of boom was turned down! It had pump gas and it was in that mode. I was moving but in noway killing it! I prob will end up fixing it and selling or just selling it any takers. I just think it is goin to be another headache and more wasted money to get where I want to be. For some viper on pump to blow by me like I was on the brakes. Just my own opinion. The more I play with these cars I learn I have to recreate the wheel.
