Easy! Speak for your own Porsche as there are probably a few here that will do just fine in a straight line. Comparing stock to stock is easy in that a stock Turbo or GT-2 will whup a stock C5. A Z06 makes it interesting and when you start with blowers, turbos, etc. it becomes the sky's the limit. His initial question was regarding a stock GT-2's straight-line performance which is quite good but maybe not a match for a blown Vette.

I would be wary of blown C5s/Z06s. I personally know several guys who are pushing 600+rw and are excellent drivers. Many of them "Hunt" Porsches. I know I used to. I guess I am now the hunted.

They are far from you in being on the south shore of LI and east. They have many, many Vettes there including a Callaway, TT Z06 and sooooo many other things. If you are up for a drive, they start to gather at about 8am Sunday and there are a hundred plus cars by 9:30.
Hey Jim,

If the weather holds I'm probably going to visit the south shore of LI this Sunday. It sounds like an awesome get together!

Will you be around? It'd be great to know a regular there!

I think it's a shame your not somewhat local..

I've always been very impressed with the kit cars with the Briggs and Stratton engines.

Is it a 2 cycle in there?

Are you THAT insecure about your little kit car that you feel compelled to insult me from across the country. Or did you make sure that I was on the other side of the country BEFORE you posted your insults?

Does it bother you that my car would go past you car so fast on the street that it would suck out its puny headlights?

I love my car. IMO it looks great, handles great, accelerates and stops great, and will get 25mph with the top down during a leasurely drive upstate.

Is it the fastest car around? Heck NO. Is it the best in any category? Heck NO.

Does it make you feel insecure that I have it and enjoy it?

Apparently so.

I didn't post this thread on the forum to start a fight with insecure people. I posted a thread so the helpful people could give me some insight to a car that I might be racing.

You can insult me all you like. When you want to prove to me how much better your car is than mine, PM me so we can set up a way to prove it.

To everyone else who wants to insult me and my car. GET A LIFE! Then PM me with your problem so we can take it to the track.

To everyone who was helpful with this thread, I just want to say thank you!
