VGT turbo for 996TT -- Will it be possible ?

I have bone stock 996 GT2 (K24s) and it feels like a 930 when you compare boost and throttle response to the ball bearing Tials on my turbo. The difference in reaching full boost can be measured in seconds. Aftermarket turbos are THAT much of an improvement.
Granted the TT has exhaust, IC, etc... but K24s are boosting a full .4 less BAR (.9 vs 1.3) and taking longer to get there.
These aren't the A28s mind you, the 2860 is a mid range turbo huffing hard at redline, but you can see full boost of 1.3 bar by 3,000 RPM if you load it up in 6th.

I ran Jitsu when he had the 28's & I had 24/18's. We started from about 60mph & I left him from the start & stayed in front the entire race.

Do you have the extra fuel pump & larger injectors? What about the turbo pipes behind the motor?

5 BAR regulator with 60 lb injectors. Forge turbo hoses.
There are a number of cars that have been running VTG's for well over a year now .........

Talk with Steve at Drivers Source he has done a 996 with VTG's. Todd K tuned it & it runs strong.
