Question Maybe Biting the bullet - Question

Okay, so I think I have a real potential here. 2001 Blk/Blk Turbo with 27,000 miles. The only thing that confuses me is that he states he is the third owner of the car but carfax only shows 2 owners with a gap of 1 year and 10,000 miles between owner 1 and owner 2. Does anyone here have experience with carfax? Also I'm meeting at the PORSCHE dealership to have them go over the car "pre-purchasing" inspection...anything that I should look for? The owner stated he hasn't had issues with the "2nd gear pop out." Thanks for any information.

Maybe a dealer used it with dealer plates and never registered the car until he sold it to your seller.

The dealership should be able to give you all the info you need. If the car checks out I wouldn't worry about who owned it before you. You can now start your own paper trail.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing...it was a lease return to a PORSCHE dealership in Newport, and was for sale by them..it didnt seem like it was sold but was used for a year and added 10,000 miles...do you think the dealership just kinda drove it around since it didnt sell? I'm kind of excited and nervous at the same time
