I run straight out from the 100 cell cats (993TT) and its not too loud when doing highway in 6th. Neighbors don't dig it when I go out at 6ish on a Sunday morning...but I'm pretty quiet the rest of the week.

IMHO go with a Fabspeed loud exhaust.. Its still very loud with awesome gains throughout the board, and retains the low end torque, im not a fan of straight pipes they are OBNOXIOUS, and my M3 was LOOOOUUUUDDD!

Martin-I agree 100%. Thought my GruppeM exhaust on my M3 was all that until the porsche salespeople called it loud & obnxious. Also heard straight pipes on a GT3 in person, and absolutely love the sound. Just don't know if I can live with it (neighbors, kids in backseat, law inforcement, etc.).

I always ran a cat bypass pipe in all previous OBD1 Porsches. The smell is great.

Exactly, or at least keep ur 100 cell cats for the 02 sensors... U will get kicked out of ur Condo- trust me I know. Coming home at 5 am from the clubs landed me a gun pointed at me ( my neighbor could not take the sound of my car anymore). That's what straight pipes will do.

My wife regularly puts a gun to my head because of my exhaust. You get used to it.

ColorChange is on a distinguished road
I seriously had a neighbor run out and ***** me out in his bathrobe. I even used to start it in the garage until the cold idle died down, and even then they got pissed.

Just be careful, I did some damage to my hearing from them at the track. I usually wore earplugs but sometimes forgot. ALWAYS wear them if running straight pipes.

I do garage warm up as well. People a bit delicate re making noise while they are sleeping...here in LA I find people a bit more tolerant...I guess when you live in a place where you can get knocked out of bed by an earthquate at any moment you are happy when a big noise is not followed by the earth opening up...so you just go back to bed!

Guys,
I have a house for sale here in Augusta, GA where you can literally dyno tune or do doughnuts at all hours of the night without bothering anyone. 17 acres, big house, heated pool and enclosed parking for 12 and covered parking for 5-6 more. Any of you ballers coming south?
