Oil Life

Hey guys,

I was wondering if I bought a few cases of oil and placed it in my garage for over a year or two.. can it still be used?.. what's the life to oil anyways?.. Thanks in advance!

I have used that in the past. No problems with Mobil 1.

it sits in the ground for millions of years... lol just messing i know thats different. I think it would be fine. From what my friend says the only reason gas gos bad is the breakdown of it due to moisture. Same with Methanol. But i think motor oil would not do that?

I had a guy tell me once (a mechanic) that oil has an indefinite shelf life as long as the containers stay sealed. YMMV

You might want to shake it before pouring. Sometimes the additives will separate out and settle to the bottom of the container.
