Jags, it is cheap insurance. I think a GT2 pump is about 800$ and has the dual pickups. The only issue is the case will have to be split in order to install the pump. A good tech can install rods without cracking the case, but the oil pump install will require a split. I would think at this level you would want to do it right and do it once, so my vote is for the pump. Good luck with whatever route you choose. Kevin

Thanks. Kevin will not be able to do the build. He has made it clear that he will build motor's that have his kits on them due to liability reasons. I cannot say that I agree with his opinion but its his choice.

Yeps some profiling has to be done to install it... it's extra insurance and for the track guys I do recommend it but otherwise it's not like the other motors built without it have had issues.... Having better scavenging capabilities is nice tho. All depends on the usage/power levels and budgets

Sounds about right to me, why not just go with the guys who built the rest of your car? Aren't they close by?
