Cool El 750

Elliot, have your put your beast on a dyno yet? I am really waiting to hear the results. I want to see the whole range as I believe you will be blazing some new territory. Especially in the torque column.

Tuesday is the day Chad. Put a few hundread miles in the motor today since all components are new. At 1/3 throttle we got 1.2 bar @3800rpm. 1.3 at 3/4 throttle. Response is crazy. Took it up to 5,000rpm 6th gear. Can't wait to let it loose.

Let us know as soon as possible. I believe you are the first that has taken stock heads, added larger valves and did a port and polish job. Should really be interesting.

Elliot,

Thanks for sharing the pics. Gave me another idea. Those guys at TTP seem to really have it together. I can't wait for your dyno sheets. I may have to take down my motor one more time because of you. Thanks.

Well it looks like we overachieved targets. There is TOO MUCH low end torque that we have to restrict it by maybe lowering boost to 1bar in the low/ midrange rpm band. The point is to make a drivable/ reliable combo. Using a new Mahn Dyno. More on Wednesday.

C'mon, you're killing us. Is there really such a thing as too much torque?

Can't wait to see the numbers. Those heads/intakes/valves look wonderful.

Chad, how does KA compare?

I was thinking the same thing, but I just got an image of the front driveshaft just shredding

We have disconnected the front shaft. Torque crossed the 1000Nm point @4660rpm. The worry is how it responds above 2800rpm. I am very happy with something less. The high lift cams with large valves really push in alot of fuel @ low rpm. Don't want to destroy the amazing tranny. Even with the light mass flywheel there is only some added noise at idle. Steel syncros are nice and crisp.KA is a different animal alltogether.
