New owner MODS. ECU flash? Ruf Conversion?

I was looking at future perf. mods. It's not making sense to me... I can spend $2k and flash my ECU and get a 65Bph gain and 85lb-ft tq gain. http://www.ortonperformance.com/pors...engine480.html

OR, for similar/less gains, Ruf will convert my turbo charger, control unit etc....I'm sure this is a lot more expensive!

Can someone explain this? Does the ECU flash really do what it says? I have searched, but haven't been able to figure this out.

Please get me on the right path!!

THanks!

Everyone on here will probably agree with the statement that ECU Flash is the most bang for the buck performance upgrade hands down.

The flash is quite impressive. Question you have to ask yourself...where do you want to be long-term? So if you want say 600 or so at the crank...you need to head one direction, If you want 700 at the crank...another direction. If you just want say 60-80 more...ECU flash and exhaust will probably get you there. There are a number of options available. My suggestion is to talk to the gurus...Kevin@UMW, Todd@Protomotive, Stephen@IA, Todd@EVOMS, Neil@Orton...for their ideas and suggestions.
