New 996TT Cab Owner! Pics!
My Dad was shopping for a new car since his previous car (1997 Mercedes Benz SL500) was getting a little old.
He drove quite a few cars...
Porsche Carrera S Cabriolet
Mercedes Benz SL550
Aston Martin Vantage V8
Aston Martin DB7
The Carrera S hugged the road well, the SL550 had buckets of torque and did nice burnouts and the Vantage V8 was the sexiest car I have ever seen but slow, severely overpriced (380hp versus the competition???) and the build quality is still unknown in terms of the long run.
He was going to drive a few more (Ferrari 355, Mercedes SL55) but I showed him this beauty. 20 minutes later he was sold
2003 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet
Basalt Black on Tan Interior
6 speed manual
415hp stock
Seperate Hardtop
Leather Power Seats
And other goodies including a GIAC Chip with a Stage 1 Flash.
The car has 14,000km and all records. I thought I'd take a few pics after I gave it a quick wash. I can tell already that bugs are going to be the cause of plenty of washes to come!

And of course there is additional information with the car:

It ****ing pulls. I took this car on the highway a few times and the torque is amazing once the turbos kick in... thsi car hauls with just a chip. I can't begin to imagine what its like with a Protomotive Upgrade or RUF Conversion!
There were a couple other Turbo Cabriolets for sale around here but with higher mileage, less options (removable hardtop was rare) and most were tiptronics... a waste for such a car. Also other cars sold for quite a bit more.
This car was inspected via Porsche Prepurchase Inspection at Downtown Porsche and passed with flying colours.
Watcha think?

Couple quick questions...
1. What's the best oil to top up with? I can tell its going to burn a little oil.
2. Any good independant mechanics in Toronto? Its nice to know even though the car is under warranty.
3. Any good speed shops in Toronto? Most parts tend to be a ripoff in Canada and I'm looking for Champions
Pfaff Tuning wants $9,000 for Champions with Michelin PS2s
4. In terms of the Center Console Delete, what do I do with the heated seat buttons???
5. And has anybody removed the rear seats? They are all but useless IMHO.

Welcome to the cab family, but please lower that 4 wheeler! Top it up with 0W40 synthetic. Just put the deck down over the seats...they really don't weigh anything (they are just leather pads velcroed in).
Congrats
Real Nice!! But hey I'm Partial to Blk Cabs.
Let the mods beging and get your wallet ready!!!
And yes you will be washing that blk baby all the time!!!

God I want me a cab as well.
Cool car.

Why is the speedo in MPH and the mileage in KMs?
And also, can you show me where's the anti-roll bar on the cabs? I never seen one!
I'll be glad if you can lift it like on Mercedes's or something so i can see what they look like on Porsches.
