After 150? Mark would take it, then me...then Alex IMO.

DGussin - Great info on the MTs'. I was hoping they would come out with a 18" tire. Thanks!
Thanks Vik. Listen....you absolutely *need* to get yourself a Performance Box or Drift Box and get some times in your car. 60-130 is a great measurment, especially for guys that have traction problems during the launch. It'll even show when you're losing traction during your run. Get one ASAP, man. Seriously.
Here's the Pbox (what I have): http://www.performancebox.co.uk/ ...and this is the US distributor: http://www.vboxusa.com/products.php
Kenny - thanks. As soon as I have time (sometime after next week)...I'll be heading to the track. I hoping to get in on a track rental, but if not...I'll go to a street night somewhere and get my one run in before they boot me off the track. It better be a good one.
Jimmer and JP-S...thanks guys.
Luis...thanks brother.

It would make for a great show. Motor built wise both Mark and Scott have the advantage of Alex's prior knowledge (through Protomotive) along with being a later build. They are different motors with their own strengths and weaknessess, If I was making a wager with what I know about VR's car my gut feeling would be to go with Alex as he is plumbed for nitrous and that spools those GT35's early or later as he chooses to spray. I believe his set up is good for another .3 to .5 seconds in the quarter. His disadvantage against the other two builds is his cams. VR's posted numbers are not all his car is capable of. All in all, taking in all the advantages and disadvantages ........... I believe it would be very close.

Scott.... you have a phenomenal car. I think you went a long way towards proving that peak numbers are just that...peak numbers. You seem to have the perfect balance between power,tq, spool and the power under the curve for a street driven car.You and Mark have great builds , but I have to say I lean heavily towards your philosophy and that is in no way taking anything away from my favorite DJ! I am sure you will equal or better Mark at the track and do so without the stress on the driveline since your TQ comes in so much sooner and won't require high RPM launches. Congrats to you and Todd K for a job very well done. Be safe, Kevin

CJV,
with respect to your vast knowledge of things and my minimal insider info
at Protomotive, VR's car has no KNOWN documented runs that beat either
Scott or Mark. We know it is "fast" but we do not know HOW fast. He prefers keeping it in some cloak of mystery...

Not everyone on this board puts all their information for the world to view. I can tell you that one day at the Las Vegas track and strip Alex's car produced numbers that are better than what I have seen posted on this board.
They don't exist for many because he had chosen not to follow the prescribed rules to be official on this site. So they are not official on this site. No big deal.
They are real for me and I simply gave my opinion based off what I know. I have never seen Mark's or Scott's car in action. I have seen VR's. I do not doubt any of the number's about Mark's or Scott's car's. Now you understand how I formed my opinion based on performance. All three of these cars are great cars. One as built upon the other. Without the nitrous I would have to agree with Scott's assessment. You know the last three builds have all been progressive. Protomotive is taking one issue at a time. The displacement will be next. Actually the two different ways of obtaining displacement has very differnt results based on the turbo's available. I can tell you if you think great advancements have been made over the last three builds, hold on to your seat over the next three. Maybe I am wrong.
Now let's go to the build's. I am very familiar with all three build's as some of my parts and/or information is in all three. In addition we have tested three different turbo's, the GT30R, GT35R and the GT42R. There hasn't been any surprises to date. If you look thru the captain mikey thread you will see how we have been in a delemia over the 30 and 35. They both have their strengths and weaknesses in different rpm ranges with the 3.6 L displacemet. We liked the 30 in the low to mid ranges but it died in power above 7500/7600 rpm's and torque from 5300 and above. We liked the 35 because it was able to service the bigger cams and rpm's. The million dollar question was to come up with something that will service both concerns. We believe we have found an answer and parts other than the turbo's had to be addressed. We believe we have an answer, but it is not proven yet. With a little luck it will be this summer.
