How come no spanked Z06's ?

It's my understanding that the stock Z06, as compared to a Stock 996TT (or 997TT) is a better performer (theoretically). However, it takes a MUCH better driver to achieve optimum performance out of a Z06 when compared to the Porsche. Some may call this "refinement".
In other words, put an above average driver in each and the Porsche will likely win on a road course. Put a great driver in each, and the Z06 wins.
Is this true? Since a below average driver is asking, I would like to hear from the great drivers first

BTW- Why won't this topic just die. Yes a $120,000 car with another $15,000 in mods with beat a stock $70,000 car. BIG DEAL. You can make ANY car fast with enough money (even the 42hp Citroen

I probably have about 470-480 bhp and recently went on a 2000 mile road trip with a friend in his Z06.
He destroyed me in a standing start, whipped me in roll ons in 2nd and 3rd but surprisingly didn't have that much of an advantage once into 4th and beyond.
However on the trip through the Alps it was clear the Porsche was much quicker through the mountain roads.
No surprises then.
