What with all the turbo talk going on i thought id add my own.

Cars currently running k24's with headers, exhaust and a dms remap (1.2bar)

This weekend im looking to add a 75mm plenum plus uprgraded intake and k24/26 turbos, These will be remanufactured from my own turbo's along with the addition of 1 bar actuators.

Question is will my map be sufficiant for the turbo upgrade or will i need to get it reprogrammed?

absolutely you will need a remap/retune... Since you're in Europe you could hit up someone like RS Tuning since they've got kits with 24/26's....

 

What kind of power do those 24/26's produce?

 

My guess... 525-550 FlywHP, depends of the other upgrades, tunning and octane you do.

 

Do they use a K24 turbine and K26 compressor? If so, I assumed they would push more HP than a stage IV K24 car @ 1.2 bar (~600 HP crank)?

Yup got it in one, Standad k24 housing and turbine with machined out compresor housing and k26 compressor wheel, 1 bar actuators and uprated thrust bearing.

 

Are the FVD "Race" turbos K24/26? I know FVD has a "sport" and "race" turbo. I bought a kit that has the "Race" turbos and I am not sure what they are.
