Any opinions on this car:

Any red flags, concerns, things I should look at? Mods look well though out, but as a relative noob, I am asking the experts.

I'm no expert, but if you're buying a TT and plan to mod it, consider this one. It really has a lot of money in it. I would only ask for the OEM rear spoiler . There's a bit of room to negociate, considering the market is full of nice used TTs. I would drive it, although I bet it would impress me.

 

That is a lot of $ for an 03 regardless of mileage or mods.

 

Since when does the GT640 package cost 90K?

Awesome car but it is somewhat overpriced, even with the outstanding mods. If there are no stories I would go up to maybe 90-92K (assuming it really does have a 10K stereo).

 

Car is a CA car, but the mods are "custom", probably not C.A.R.B. legal. I'll bet you won't be able to register it in CA since there's no way it would pass the visual inspection part of the smog test.

 

Black and C/f steering wheel, and the grey'ish center?

I don't know but thats a little turn off for me.

 

If you can get it in the low/mid 80's it is a decent deal. It looks like some good choices were made on the mods. IMO, the interior is not the greatest color combo.

 

Low 80's is a steal if there are no stories and limited track miles.

 

I'm still curious about the steering wheel.

Car's been on the market for many months- of course the real costs of the mods are being 'oversold' but that's his job, eh? Not sure the seller understands the market though...

Still, perhaps too much lightness in the interior.

PS True on CA emissions. Around here I'd be surprised if they ever saw any TT. I'd need to look into that a bit.
