Ya...a lot of people underestimate the aero of the 911's. The cars are *extremely* slick. Even the GT2 has a worse coefficient than the standard Turbo does (GT2 is .34).

Scott, do you know if there's a difference in the coefficient of the Cabrio and the Coupe?

You would think...but according to the specs they're both the same.

Gallardos are really not that fast considering their HP/Weight ratio.

I happen to agree with Dive.
Lambo's are not that fast given their quoted HP
I've 2 run in's with Lambo's and was not that impressed
My M6 is stock other than an ECU delimit
I poat mostly videos though
I agree with you that a tuned M6 will match or beat easily a stock M6. But I say this the M6 is really fast above 100mph and 5000 rpm .
I race on quite a frequent basis but i willonly discuss races or meeets that I have taped

One thing is for sure though. I won't be getting a Lambo anytime soon. From what I've seen a modded 996TT should have no problems although I have yet to race one all the way up to 200mph and I have raced a Murcielago up to 186mph and won!!! The Gt2's I have seen are way way way faster than anything lambo is making period !!!

I recently ran against a new yellow G spyder in my stock k16 996tt. We did a run from about 20 mph to about 100 and we were dead even... Once i get may giac chip and dv's next week (stage 1), it will no longer be even.

The race took place today. No need to tell you what happened I smoked the Gallardo.

We did two runs from 0 to 300km/h. The first run when I was with 300km/h I was barely seeing his headlights. He said that he started in the automatic mode and he asked for a second race. Well, we did it and the same happened. He wasn't even close to me.

He told me that he had beaten a F430 few days before. What can I say, if you want a car that gets all the attention buy an exotic, if you want a real adrenalin fast bullet - buy a TT!

Here is a vid of me running an 07 Gallardo Spyder. My car has headers, exhaust and a Giac flash. A Stage 1 TT would have no problem with one.
