Yet another newbie and convert to 996TT....
Just wanted to officially post and say "HI & THANKS" to all that have helped me indirectly by posting to this site. You guys have certainly saved me from the deluge of newbie-type questions and have given me a much greater appreciation of this fabulous car.
I purchased the 05 TTS cab last Nov as a DD to replace my E46 M3 cab. Since then I've either been throughly enjoying this beast of a car (already 4000 miles
and only live 3 miles from work) or staying up late at night reading this forum. Before the dawn of the internet, I do not know how people found out such critical info about their cars (e.g., 2nd gear pop out) and had to just rely upon the mis-information given out by the dealers. I'm also fortunate to be in LA where there are a great number of quality shops to go to for advice and work done. More specifically, I wanted to extend a big thanks to Alan at Wheel Enhancement, Fabryce at GMG, and Arling at Lucent for help with current and future mods. All are quality people that went above and beyond my expectations in helping me out. Next projects are the wheels (HRE 547Rs vs SSR GT3 vs ?? other 5 spoke), rear spoiler, then a GIAC and exhaust when I feel less intimated by the K24s.
I also got a great deal on a recent purchase of a GT3RS for my son's Bday, which he obviously enjoys taking for a spin.
Thanks again and look forward to becoming a more active posting member!

And the Silver GT3RS modded with 19mm BBS wheels, rear spoiler delete option, 3-channel radio remote, and DC power mod...
