The Y pipe looked new as well as the hoses from the top and side rear wheel shots? Were those hoses on the bottom or new tubing? Once again congrats!! I hear those supra boys are getting nervous!!!!

Actually it's 80'

Not the altitude, but the Density Altitude. On Ranger's 10.8 run in the Z it was -850 at MIR. We NEVER see conditions like those here. The best DA I've seen in AZ was +1300.

I guess "overcame" was a poor word to use. I meant that it was able to run 10's in spite of the ****ty DA.

The video proves the run, in this case we're never going to see a timeslip because the NHRA and track officials didn't take kindly to the "sneak attack" nature of the runs.

As far as I am concerned it's an official pass, the video shows it plain as day.

It is disingenuous to not reveal more information about the car at this time. All NHRA tracks have racecar scales where an accurate raceweight can be determined very easily.

The car in question is a total monster. But GT800 (or whatever the marketing label is) owners shouldn't expect to run a mid 9 in theirs. It's obviously had massive weight reduction and that makes a big difference.

I love it! The first nine second pass! Fantastic to watch.

Mr. Blonde,

You are correct. DMK's GT700 should not be used as an expectation
for what every GT700 will run and Scott (Divexxtreme's) run in his PE700AWD
will not be what I would ever expect. This car EVOM's test mule) was very light and probably
less powerful than Several 996TT's running around. Great prep, great launch
and great execution, from track choice to temperature choice, etc.
Really great result!!

Hey, Is this the same car that ran a 10.3? If so why is it so much faster if both were GT800 kits?
Congrats
Robert
