Quote: Rob,

I think this photo shows the piping that Buddy is referring to...

It looks like there will be some Interior diameter limitations? Just curious if this is big enought to flow enough air for example in Craig's GT 950 car? Look at the top, seems to be a pinch?
Sincerely
Robert

Rob,

For 950 HP I am not sure. The pinch you refer to looks larger in the picture than it really is...also, the pipe is deeper at that spot, so the air is not really pinched, as it appears. Here is another angle where you can see it's not pinched at all - the pipe is much deeper at that spot to compensate.

Quote: Of course, that's why they are called RACE cars. But the Turbo is a very capable track car and other than the brake issue and maybe some weight a monster on the track but what street car do you know doesnt need ANYTHING to run at the track (well maybe a GT3 RS) but there arent many. Whether is brake fluid, lines, maybe even better rotors (cracking), weight, suspension just about any car will need some work because they are still built for the street and not for driving enduros at the track.

BTW I'd be down to do some road course comparos. . All that HP wont help you much when it comes time to turn. 700 hp is a hinderance because you cant put the power down and would get owned at most tracks by stock GT3's especially for you guys that went to RWD.
With AWD I had no problem getting the power down and as I already said above handily took out a Noble which is suppose to be a great track car with light weight and mid engine. This was at Grattan which is a short track as well.

robmd99,

If the part isn't flowed then it is just a guess. It may or may not be good. Since your heads ultimately determine maximum flow (power) it is best to start there. Everything else can be adjusted.

That's more driver ability than car ability, and it also matters if the noble was a M400 or the M12, the M400 in capable hands would own pretty much any TT. The M12 is not all that. I dont see how you cant actually get 700 hp to the ground without full slicks unless you have a perfect setup meaning dialed out understeer and no oversteer. IMO if you dont have problems putting the power down there is more left in the car and this certainly applies to 700 hp.

Buddy G. is a very experienced Racer, this is most likely the largest factor.

I fokking love those turbos Joe. I know you do too Being able to have a car with 140+mph traps is just the way a 996TT should be.
