That's MY CAR!! You bought it from Doug after I imported it from the US! I only kept it for a month or so last fall - you must have bought it! Small world!
Wow small world indeed

It was a beautiful car... but hey, cars can be replaced. That integrated V1 install was slick btw

And did you take it to Pfaff Tuning? The GIAC helped

We all got out within 30 seconds of seeing smoke and yes, a smoke alarm will be in the garage next time. I brought out a fire extinguisher but it was too late

Also our house was built in 1984, before more stringent building codes, which contributed towards the fire. We will rebuild it a lot better this time around.

I've seen a couple on Autotrader.. I may check out this one:

http://www.trader.ca/Search/Details....ADS=6170421%7C

And thank you guys for the well wishes... we are ok so now its time to rebuild.

My thoughts are with you and your family.
Glad you guys are safe, sorry about the loss of all irreplacable things such
as photos and memorabilia.
The cars are easy to replace.

take care,

How do I go about purchasing a vehicle in the States?

I know about the tariffs, taxes and regulations for legalizing but in regards to the car itself, do I check out Dupont Registry?

I live in Aurora buy the way... and Jamie you have any good sources/info in terms of getting a similar car? How did you purchase this one?

Ebay, auto trader and cars dot com. Buy the sellor first. Board sponsor Chicago Motor cars seems to get a lot of cars that they don't need to hit home runs on. Find the car, talk to Doug and he'll walk you through the rest.

noooooooo. from my experience dupont is all show and no go so to speak, the prices are generally much too high. as someone else mentioned, check out ebay, but probably mainly cars.com and autotrader.com in a geographic area that you are willing to travel to retrieve the car.
