91 vs 93 octane

You guys think I will tell a difference going from the 91 to 93 octane? What should I expect if anything?

It all depends on the car. Most cars don’t run a high enough compression or boost levels to make any big gains or losses. Maybe a few hp. Just put some in and see.

I get 100 octane here in Rancho Santa Fe, Ca at the local gas station and let me tell you I can feel it. Make things just that much more fun. The only down fall ..... like 7 bucks a gallon.

The thing I noted most about using a better grade fuel (98-105) is a decrease in combustion temperature. 91 to 93 isn’t that much of a difference so I don’t think it will be that noticeable.

Get an ECU tune to help you optimize effects of higher octane gas.

If you're not having your ECU tuned I would just stick with 91 octane. Now, on the other hand, if you're going to tune your ECU I say go for 93 hands down.
