996 TT Cab Order - Question

I ordered an '04 TT cab in January and was promised an April build. So far, my dealer has not received an estimated completion date from Porsche. My patience is starting to run out.

Anyone else with a promised April build - and - have you received an estimated completion date (and a guess as to delivery date)?

Rockville Porsche - in Maryland. Switched from the old Heishman dealership in Virginia, as new owners not nearly as customer friendly as Scott Heishman was.

Robert ask him to go on the porsche system to find out what stage of production it is in and give you a print out - there are codes associated with your Vin that will give you an idea where it is

I hate to say this but I ordered mine in February with a March build, got word it was done in early March and delivered this week.

Here is what I understand may be at issue -- mine was straight forward with few options -- and none that would "delay" production -- (i.e., I ordered Silver with Black interior, Ceramic Brakes, Heated Lumbar Seats for both Front seats, 6CD, Aluminum Gauges, Dual Exhaust Tips and Sills, 6 Speed and thicker steering wheel).

I did NOT get deviated stitching or an Porsche Exclusive options -- which I understand can add weeks if not months to an order - again, mine was plain jane so it was quick.

The dealer can check fairly easily on where it is -- push them to do so -- they make $20k on the car for crying out loud!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got lucky with my TT Conv.

I happen to walk in the showroom looking for a TT coupe. Dealer said before you look at the coupe, take a look at the TT convertible, the original buyer backed out of the deal.

Took a look and bought it. NO WAIT!!! Of course, I didnt have the chance to choose colors and options. But overall I like it.

Heres my latest purchase...F355

2004 996 TT Conv. (Seal Gray)
2004 MBZ E55 (Graphite)
2002 BMW X5 4.6IS (Imola Red)
