0-60 mph: 3.5 sec

1/4 mile: 11:35 @ 129.5 mph
0-100-0: 11.6 sec, 882 ft
60-0: 104 ft
lateral acceleration (50 m skidpad): 0.95 g

when some here will tell you all you have to do is buy a TT and put a few bucks in it to achieve the same performance.
Dude drive your car next to a Carrera GT one day... THAT's THE DIFFERENCE!

Often, the latest and the best is very expensive to develope. It is never worth the price you have to pay. That is, until someone else is willing to pay more and then there is a profit in it. For the people on this board that $ is no object, the CGT is for them. As for the rest of us, let's put this into perspective about cost and performance. Try this little trick, move the comma on the price and what happens to your gut: what if the cost of a C-GT was $44,000. I think we would all jump on that in a heartbeat. Yet for the guy behind the register at Lowe's, that 44,000 is way out of reach. So it is all relative. But what a gorgeous machine. My dealership (Paramount Porsche, Hickory, NC) still has an option on one of the builds, I think 06. Straight 50,000 and you're in for sticker. BTW, that early $6000 delivery charge on that car was when it was flown here, now that it swims, expect ~$1800 delivery charge.

no, it's not a west coast thing. maybe NC is the only state that receives $1900 destination. here is a sticker (showing a $2900 destination) for a PA (east coast) delivered CGT:

CGT sold by PA dealer with $2900 destination charge

I'll f/u with the CGT that comes to Hickory this spring and put that window sticker on the board. Funny thing is, that first one is for the owner of the dealership and I'll bet he doesn't pay any destination charge. Actually, he will probably make $ on the deal somehow?!
