Scanning Tool

Done a search but haven't got much information. I am using Scan Gauge for my EVO9MR. www.scangauge.com Do you know if this will work on the 996TT? If not, what scanning tools work?

Durametric is the best for casual use (otherwise spend $$$ for PST2 or PIWIS).

Is there something like Scan Gauge that that has a display instead of hooking up to a Laptop. Looking at something simple that reads and clears CEL.

I bought an Autozone tool just for that reason and it read my codes just fine and cleared my CEL with no problems. It was about $130 and had good display. I had the secondary air valve codes and indeed it was my diverter valves.

Anybody knows whether Scan Gauge will work? My problem is that I am in the US now and my car and Scan gauge (for the EVO) is at home in the Philippines. I want to know if it works on the 996 TT so I can get another one while I am in the US.
