Our Board got so big we have our own 997TT testing right now
If you look closely at the front bumper and take away all those horizontal lines, it looks almost identical to the current 996TT bumper. Also, look at where the hood meets the bumper and you can see tape covering up something. If i were to guess, it looks almost like the hood vents a la GT2.
Im stickin with my theory that the pictures above are the testings of some sort of 996 Turbo 'S'

Wasn't there another picture of the supposed 997TT with tailpipes coming through the bumper ala CGT? maybe they were just a different shape...This one is different...

I must say that for a joke it is still a great learning experience. If you look closely, you can see the 996 TT hiding under the disguise. Basically, the front bumper is on there underneath the "cover" bumper and the rear is also underneath the "993" cover. This gives insight into the disguising process. It is not just tape jobs. It's not quite CSI stuff, but a tutorial nonetheless.
The interesting thing about the tail is if you look close at the rear pic, you can see the GT2 tail profile on the left side (lightest painted color portion in the photo). It appears it is a GT2 tail with gobs of tape and some other stuff to make it look solid.
See what I mean?
Oh, yeah, and of course I see the plate frame Darren!!
