On my way home from work, loping along the highway. My exit's coming up, but a guy on a racebike (I don't know what kind - blue faring is all I remember) crashes into my rearview mirror.

He's tailing me and nudging his throttle, he wants a go. I think to myself, meh, I'll skip my exit.

As traffic ahead in the passing lane clears I drop it into 2nd and punch it - he's as ready as me, starting about 20 yards off my bumper! Through 2nd...3rd...well into 4th! He gains on me between shifts but once my boost is up, it's as if we're tied together by a rope. Halfway through the run I am wondering whether he's just waiting for room to blow by me, but the truth comes out as the right-hand lane clears...he changes lanes but cannot gain an inch!

I let off and start signaling for the next exit. He flashes his high-beam, passes me with a thumbs up.

I love this car!!

Thanks man...he sleeps all day but it's showtime between midnight and 5am...we're talking record-breaking sleep deprivation (as all new Dads know).
