That's not the same car, bro.

Hamaan used to have a full-weight, AWD 996TT with close to the same Proto K24/18G setup that I used to have that he won the Euro Car shootout with. It made 550 AWHP on a Mustang Dyno, and ran 10.74 @ 131.7 (as seen below).

He sold it after the shootout and then purchased a GT2, as well as a GT3 (not sure in which order though).

I'm staying out of the other discussion, but I do understand what you and Marty are both saying.

Scott, you sure missed the point of this post... straight K24 vs K16/24... BTW, If that car had your full blown Proto 700 kit and trapped low 130's on race gas then I guess my turbo,5 bar and exhaust only ZC hybrid trapping 128+ on pump gas sure did pretty well ...lol...BTW I would check and see if Hamaan ran Garrett T04E compressors at the shoot out

Sorry I missed the point. I was only going by your post below:

Heck, all Hamman's car had for power was the turbos, exhaust, intake and tuning. I don't believe he had my fuel system.

Plus...Todd drove the car from his old shop in Temecula, CA to Buttonwillow so I'm not sure what fuel he used that day.

No prob, but seeing this thread was about a K24 car vs a K16/24 car I thought it was self explanatory and didnt think Proto cars were going to be brought into the mix...If Todd took that car to a public shootout, do you think there was pump fuel in it? .... Basically the point I was trying to make was Marty trashed ZC as a non event, but on this board the two fastest 16/24 cars were mine and John D and he had a low clearance from SG. Most other cars were trapping 124-125 with the non ZC setup or straight 24's....All is good

What other mods were on the 128 mph ZC car other than the Turbos and ECU??

But yeah without the passenger the K24 car would have been even.

Miltek exhaust and it was weighed before the run and had a running weight of 3760# with me in it and was running pump fuel with 4 gals of 100oct mixed in for safety......

Wow, that's fast for just turbos, ECU and Exhaust. where were these tests done? Was it at sea level, an info on the DA for that day? Did you power shift? Also what is a 5 bar and what does it do??

I think my car could do 126 or 127 now as I think the techarts I had when I ran 125 cost me a mph or two but I have to drive 2.5 hrs to get to a sea level track.

To me the hybrid is a superior turbo to the base K24. I jumped ahead everytime (we did about 5 pulls) and stayed ahead. It was very apparent that they spool much faster and keep pulling strong. This vid is one of the closer ones.

Not trying to bash K24's or the other car or driver!

Heavy, I took it to one of my local dragstrips called Mid Michigan Motorplex in Stanton, MI. No powershifting and a 1.79 60ft on my Michelin Sport Cups at the time. The track is about 700ft above sea level(I think) and it was a good day to run. Mid 60's in the Fall. I have the timeslips posted and it also did a 7.9 60-130 the same day. Kevin

So what's the logical upgrade from a stock K24 (stage 4)? I would'nt be happy with just a slight edge.
