Actually, the sound is REALLY good, the most exotic sounding exhaust. The issues with them in the past have been that the exhaust LOSES HP, even in the open position. I researched the crap out of these about a year and a half ago when I was offered a used Ti exhaust for $5500.
The only 2 dyno tests I could find (one on 996TT, one on Lambo Diablo)showed a power loss in open and closed position. I asked the company rep in Chicago for their dyno, and he said they never ran one
. So I walked away from the deal.
Now that the prices have come down to reasonable......now the HP loss issue needs to be addressed.

For a switchable exhaust, yes that is reasonable. That is also what the 9ff sells for, but we all know 9ff's problem
