Actually, the sound is REALLY good, the most exotic sounding exhaust. The issues with them in the past have been that the exhaust LOSES HP, even in the open position. I researched the crap out of these about a year and a half ago when I was offered a used Ti exhaust for $5500.

The only 2 dyno tests I could find (one on 996TT, one on Lambo Diablo)showed a power loss in open and closed position. I asked the company rep in Chicago for their dyno, and he said they never ran one . So I walked away from the deal.

Now that the prices have come down to reasonable......now the HP loss issue needs to be addressed.

Yikes almost $6000 is reasonable for a system that loses HP? I won't be signing up for that deal. Don't care how good it sounds.

For a switchable exhaust, yes that is reasonable. That is also what the 9ff sells for, but we all know 9ff's problem

What's 9ff problem? Beeing on another Porsche-forum, I know some of the members are running 9ff exhausts (the biggest of them, partnumber: F96 500 10)

I have ridden in a similar vehicle....one of the coolest sounding cars in open...especially underpass at WOT.

Its a USA problem. They can't keep distributors, then bend them over when they find a new one.......think prison movie type of abuse

Ah, ok. Just heard good things from the owners, so you got me worried. As we are all located in europe, and buying direct from 9ff, then it all should be ok

Tried 3 others, got the Kreis-sieg and it is the best. If nothing else, it's great for keeping the neighbors happy cuz I leave at 4:00 am.

So wait, I'm a little confused. Does the Kreis-sieg exhaust lose HP?
