Hey Folks,

Just wanted to introduce myself.
I've been a lurker here for a while, but I felt it was time to join(also since I got a good email address)
I've always loved the 911, and I remember the first time I saw the Turbo.
It was way back in the mid 70's, in, I believe, an issue of TIME magazine.
The car was accelerating away across the page, with a view looking down upon it, and I'll never forget it.
The shape stuck in my head, with its' flared wheel arches, and the ad spoke of "zero to 60 in 5 seconds flat", which was a benchmark for the time.
I've had the opportunity to drive a 996TT briefly, and can attest to the quality.
Perhaps someday I will be in the position to own a newer model, but for now I enjoy the ride I get on this site.

I currently drive a 2002 Z06, which I twin turboed, and it puts down 573rwhp, 606rwtq, on a stock engine, and moves pretty darn well.
I haven't had the opportunity to do any recent 1/4 mile testing, but I hope to once I get a good clutch in it.

Since there is a great interest here on 60-130 testing, I wondered how my car might fare, so I recently bought a Performance Box, and did a few runs.
It is darn near impossible to find a level stretch of road, but I came pretty close.

My two best runs were a 7.57 on a slight decline, and a 7.87 on about the same amount of incline.
I think on a level stretch, with a quick shift, it has a solid 7.6 or so in it.
I am really pleased to be in the mid 7's, since this puts me in some pretty quick company.

I'd like to submit the two runs for inclusion in the 'other cars" list, and with GPS verification.
If you're interested, let me know how to send it to you.

My next goal will be the 6's, but that will take more HP, for sure.
Maybe next year.

Well, it's great to be able to participate on this site, and hopefully I can contribute useful info, or answer any questions about my setup.
Thanks for the time.
Brian
