It is always there because the guy who owns the wash also sells cars.. He is selling it for someone else. I talked to him and he didn't know much about the mods and of course "the car ran perfect".

I've busted a drop link on my Mini just hitting hard bumps on the road. Not a big deal. The drop links on the 996tt are surprising flimsy looking in you were to take a look at them.

I don;t know the car, but I DO know the vendor. I bought my 996 TT through him. He is a good guy to work with. He is flexible on price, he'll help you do a PPI, etc.

I asked all the same questions.
He took my (then future) car to Redline automotive and I did a PPI including a compression check. Car came back 100% clean as Justin (Malibucarz) had indicated.

As one of the other posters said: get a PPI done and then make the offer.

You will get a good deal from Justin.

Not affiliated with the seller or the vendor. Just a satisfied customer from a small independent businessman, whom I'd like to help.

After looking at it second time in detail I noticed couple of things:

1. Factory Navigation has been replaced with an after market Kenwood. I do not think it would give you the same functionality as the foctory. Why was it removed, you should ask.

2. In the second invoice it shows the factory turbo charges were replaced by GT2 Turbo Charges. You should ask WHY, because GT2 and Turbo S should have identical K24 Turbos.

3. It states the breaks were upgraded with Brembo brakes with Ceramic rotors. Turbo S came standard with yellow breaks with Ceramic rotors.

More I look at it more it makes me wonder if this TT is S or came with X50 or previous owner just put on a S badge on it after the upgrades he got done.... You should have the Tranny and the engine code decoded to find out more about the car. IMHO!

bent dl's are for the front swaybar. it just allows more optional access to tighten up the front sway, which is a moot point as the turbo has so much understeer dialed in from the fact no would ever utilize the max adjustment home. if anything you would want less understeer.

yea that is odd, especially since the certificate of authenticity says it's a Turbo S. Maybe the installer pulled a fast one on an unsuspecting owner?
