I was installing my Valentine mirror today and when I pressed the mirror back onto the ball I cracked my entire windshield!

Anyone know where is a good place around NYC to get a new factory original Porsche windshield installed and approximate pricing?

I had the OEM glass replaced on my Boxster under warranty and it was pretty pricey. I have been told that Porsche glass is very soft and chips easy and that there are other glass makers out there with better products. But I will give you one point to consider. When the company came to my house to do the install, he said that it was important on the Porsche to let the adhesive dry for 24 hours so that the glass cures in tight-NO DRIVING. He then came back on day two to inspect the installed winshield and only then did he put in the molding.

I just called my insurance company and they are sending someone out on Thursday to fix it. They said they will pay for it in full under my glass coverage.
