Cool straight pipe after converters

i was wondering if anyone has done the straight pipe after the catalic converters... (i saw a thread on a track car.. but i think he also removed the converters....) i dont want to mess with the o2 censors.... plus its my daily driver.. im sure its louder.. but how much louder.. i already have a modified stock exhaust on my x50.....
i am planning a flash in a few months.... still saving after the wheel upgrade..... help

There are several high hp Turbos running around with muffler bypasses here on the board. They sound great IMO.

I got this

sound here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVbzBFpDB8U#GU5U2spHI_4

It's ~10x louder....mybe more...but I like it and it's daily driver...

I haven't dynoed jet, but it feels that straight pipes give more power than alltuning chip

Get also new cats and you need 2-3hour work to change exhaust back to original

I'm running fabspeed 100cell cats and the muffler bypass pipes. It's way louder than my fabspeed moderate, but I like it. I could really feel an increase in power in the higher rpm range as well.

I have Techart Racing exhaust including cats and also custom made muffler bypasses with the same cats....Gotta say the car spools up sooner with the straight pipes!! Not sure about the top end power though (hard to tell with your butt, would need some numbers...)

Nowadays I use only the Techart exhaust...too many dBs for most tracks with straight pipes, too bad
