There are cheaper air filters. K&N is not one of them. They are proud of them.

Doug,
The last couple of 3.4 996s were in that range. They move about 10. That car was a tip. Would explain the 10HP loss. The 3.6s are coming in about 295 to the wheels. I can't remember, but I think the 964 is lighter. I know that my 89 C4 was damn fast. I ended up punching that to a 3.8 RS spec car. It was a great car!

Stephen:

I wish I was closer to you guys or we had some high quality shops around here for upgrades. John Desmond is supposed to be flying in in May to install a Lenz fuel management system on my 964. Do you know anything about the Lenz system, good or bad . . .

I think it's great to be proud of your filter, but any shop that charges 100 dollars for a k&N I can buy locally for 40 bucks or from another place for 30 dollars -- is a crooked shop.
