Periokid: Wheels look great!

Remember, imitation is the sincerest from of flattery. I plan to do my garage floor just like yours.

Please answer this question though. Do you have any trouble with a slippery floor when it is wet? Do you use silica in the wax for combating slipperiness? How do you finish your floor around the door? What should I do? I plan to epoxy until I get under the door, and then go to tile inside.

Tim,

Generally the floor is not wet so it is not much of an issue. But it can be slippery if wet. It is fine for me so I did not add any silica.

As far as the area around the door, my garage has a 1/2 step down at the door. So I just ended the tile there.

Good luck with the floor!

Thanks David!

Do you pressure wash the floor or just mop? I never thought of having the cleaning lady do it but what a great idea! Somehow I think the garage is my job. Ha ... not anymore!

I mop it. Sometimes, I just hose it out.

Really nice and 18 " too for lighter weight and better handling vs 19 " . The hidden hardware gives it a terrific OEM look , in a positive way. Did you weigh them before mounting ? How about an outside full side view shot !

MKW,

Thanks. I am very pleased with the 18" I was going to weigh them but got too excited to installed them and I forgot. They are definitely lighter even with larger tires. (235/40 and 315/30) I didn't get a great set of photos since it is now raining. When the weather clears, I get a better set of pictures.

The 18" HRE 843R wheels (GT2 spec) weigh in at ~22.5 lbs front and ~24 lbs rear. Total weight with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires (235 and 315) is 46.8 and 54.4 lbs front and rear, respectively.
