Had 4 Corvettes, 2 Shelby Mustangs, 2 other Mustangs and a couple of BMWs before my 996TT. The only cars I miss are:

1968 Shelby GT-500 Convertible
1969 Shelby GT-350
1969 Corvette Convertible

Otherwise, the Turbo blows the crap off of anything this side of a Ferrari F355

Some cars have such different dynamics. I feel like my step up was more like 3 steps up and a step to the left..haha..

The M I had was a wonderful car and really balanced. That said, at this altitude, the 14% or so loss in horsepower made it feel heavy and low on torque. Friggin' altitude.

Miss the GT2 and my dp935. I don't miss my 512BB (though I wish I had kept it a little longer, until Enzo left the building).

I sometimes miss the growl of my C5 Vette, and the rear wheel drive of it... I am constantly reminded by my Vette friends that, with all the mods (suspension/brakes/new motor/carbon Torque shaft) I still had about 1/3rd the cost in it. It was a FUN car, but let me down one to many times at the track!

I only had my M Roadster for 7 months, but enjoyed it while I had it. It was a great feeling car, but oversteer snap was a ***** in that car... It was bone stock and I didn't touch it...

My Zcars, I've always had a fondness for them, and have had atleast 1 in the garage for the last 20 years, and many have been very quick, including a 10.98 second 129MPH 1/4 mile timeslip on a roadrace suspension... My current Datsun Z track car will be a track day beast and should prove to be more fun than most would expect!

Mike
