Engine start up! Short corny vid
Ok I look like a little kid on Christmas morning and kinda dorky but I got to turn the key today on a brand new GT2 engine, fired right up!!!

Again cant thank Kevin at Ultimate for getting the engine and Viper Bob and his crew at Vortex Racing in Tampa!!

Off to the track next week!!!

yeah, once I found out I needed a new engine, I just bit the bullet. Got car running one day after engine arrived.
I am following Kevin's break in protocol. We changed the oil three times already.
Once it has 500 miles on it, off to the track. Next track day is Aug 25th at Sebring with Chinmotorsports. So I have so driving to do this week.

That's why I put the warning!! I thought Viper Bob was just taking a picture but he took a video with his camera and sent it to me. I looked so stupid I thought I would share it! BTW that's what the car sounds like with STRAIGHT PIPES for all you who are still wondering!

Tom, congrats on the getting back on the road! Great choice on getting the GT2 engine also. I remember the first time I got to start up my car after I had the 3.6 conversion done to it. What a great feeling, it showed in your face how stoked you are. Have you noticed a different feeling with the GT2 engine versus the X-50?

it came as a "GT2" engine but AFAIK it is the same as my X-50 engine.
