Yes, you are right. Marty, the manager, did say he had a few offers. They told me the car sold for $98k, but I think they lied and wanted to make me think so. I would have payed almost anything for the car because I was looking and found the right car. I had an ignition diagnostic and the car was red-lined many times so I told them I was not interested. Then they called me at home and gave me $95.5k for the turbo and a good price for my trade-in. Like all car dealerships, they are dishonest and lazy. They would not fix the rear wheels but I can have it done for less than $100. They removed some of the decals but not the rear one because of the tint. I liked it anyways. The interior plate is fine with me, looks custom and clean. If it makes you feel any better, I have had a few minor problems with the system, but the dealership fixed it. Anyways, good luck searching for a car.

What's this about a diagnostic test for redline history? How does that work? Who does that?

 

All porsche come with special computers that record all the history of the car. The diagnostic test basically tells you how fast, how hard, and if the car was red-lined a lot. Any porsche dealership would have that done for you especially if you are buying one of their cars. You should have them run two tests. Ignition 1 test tells u if it was over-reved during upshifts and ignistion 2 test tells u if the car was over-reved during downshifts. Porsche has some special rating system on a scale from 1 to 20 that basically tells you how the car was driven. Most turbo's I am sure are driven hard and red-lined many times. Hope this helps.

 

I am glad it worked out for you. You should try and find out which Piston, Redwing or Lion owned your car, I would love to know. Wheels in Motion is in Detroit, so if you continue to have problems you shold call them driectly. They have a good rep in Detroit.
