JIC Suspension in - 1st Impressions
I have 8/12 on mine with the dampening settings about midway (forgot how many clicks). Aligned and C/B when installed...very happy with them, esp on the track and pretty tolerable on street. Definitely stiffer than stock but livable even withthe NY metro area road conditions
Get it aligned and CB'd asap! I wouldn't drive it too aggressively or quickly until you get that done - could be quite unstable.

That's your problem...not aligned yet !
My JIC's are perfect, but the drive from the install to the alignment rack was as you described. Get it aligned--correctly--and it will be totally different.
Love my JIC's, wouldn't do anything else

I was responding to the original posters question re: strange feel without alignment....sorry, not jumping on your bandwagon this time.

JIC: not what it is cracked up to be
Bill, you obviously have drank the "kool-aid"
What gave you the idea that this would disappoint me?
Your JIC with no problems means one of two things;
you havent driven it much or very hard or it is About to break.
This is a known problem with a weak solution and as a result,
Smart Suppliers no longer sell the stuff. period.

OK, nobody has complained about the drop link quality of the new design.
Let me run an analogy by you. Fabspeed sold the original SuperSport exhaust for years. The thing drones......as a result, they re-designed it to eliminate the drone. Are they suppossed to fix my exhaust free of charge?
As I understand it, they have proposed a solution. You are balking because of the $400 to upgrade. You have the lemons....Make some lemonade.....
BTW, I remember a guy in Minnesota who chugged Orton's Kool-Aid by the PSI gallon......what happened to that guy
Stephen Kaspar is one of the most knowledgeble guys in the entire industry.
I do not know what he thinks of the Cross/JIC Suspension or what he
would do about my current dilemna.
$400 parts, $400 labor is Paul's fix for my broken drop links = $800.
I can buy BETTER parts for the same amount of money.
This is their solution?
I choked on Orton's kool-aid and as a result had to swich to something healthier.

Ouch, I even felt that!
woodster, curious, where are the links breaking? I had problems with my rears breaking twice. switched to ira's and they have been fine. he makes different lengths maybe just switch them out to ira's and be done with it.

Yes, upgrading the links to the newer design is their recommendation. Just like Fabspeed said I could upgrade to the Gen 3 exhaust for $1800. Now I chose to try something else instead exhaust-wise, and if you think someone elses links offer better value for the money go for it.
I am having the JIC installed on the car today, along with the "upgraded" drop links. I bought the setup from Vivid with the 8/12kg springs. The shop is doing the alignment as well. I'm not sure what the total lowering height will be yet, but I set the dampers at 4 clicks from stiff. I can't wait to drive it !!
