Who Wants My Volks Dirty Cheap?

I need to dump my 18" Volks from my Porsche 996TT. The fronts are a 18x8.5 and the rears are 18x10 (long story). Rears include a 5mm spacer. They sit, look, and handle perfect on the car. Very light and great for track racing. I had them powdercoated flat black. All are good. They include Pirelli PZero Nero Tires. 235/40/18 and 285/30/18. Tires have 4000 miles on them but have PLENTY of tread life. These tires have not been tracked or raced.

Wheels with Tires Shipped in 48 States ONLY - $2500.

I would ask the wheel manufacturer whether the heating involved
in curing the power coating is OK for the wheel (doesn't anneal
the hardening etc), so it hasn't weakened it.

I would hope so. What I hear from Chip at Complete Custom Wheels
is that the temperature typically reached to cure the powercoating
would not be a problem, but that he has seen several times where
the powdercoat folks took the easy route when removing the existing
paint or clearcoat, by cranking up the oven heat to burn everything
off, and then the wheels are completely ennealed and are essentially
scrap, even if they look perfect.

Dan,

What do the wheels weigh?
Do you have the 6 piston Brembo Monoblocks on that car with the wheels?
(they obviously clear the calipers if you do)

The wheels have a strong deposit on them. If no issues they will ship out friday. If something arises I will let people know.

Yeah there is no issue with the powdercoating.

Marty - these DO fit over the 6pistons. I have them on my car. I have 1 brand new set of 18x8.5 and 18x11 instock (Gunmetal) and 1 set of 19x8.5 and 19x11 instock Gunmetal. If you want those...end of the month, you know the drill!

People have been powdercoating Volks for years with no problems.

Excellent deal including the tires.
