Wranglers Rock!

Off-road is where the real fun begins. Although, topless in the summer sun is great too.

Doc,

I've been great. We should try to get together some time soon, it's been too long. Hope all is well with the family.

"What Edmunds.com Says
It has a stiff ride, offers about the same noise isolation as a motorcycle and has a soft top that's a nail-buster to operate. That said, the Wrangler also offers a visceral motoring experience like no other and the off-road ability of a mountain goat.
Pros
Cheap, fun to drive, classic styling, go-anywhere capability.
Cons
Soft top a handful to manipulate, difficult ingress-egress, slow steering"

Sounds like a fun toy for the snow!

unfortunately yes, I realized early on my chances of making a career as a gigolo or chippendales dancer were slim, so I have been working in financial markets in London and New York since 1987, however the first car I bought when I moved to New York in 92 was a Jeep Wrangler in red, perfect car for the hamptons, not too great for the LIE, but I hope to get another one day, it was alot of fun.

Yes Billy boy, the Durango is an automatic b/c they don't make a stick. In my house, I wear the pants and my wife has no say in the automotive decisions. That's precisely why I have 2 cars that are a stick and 2 that are an automatic. I guess we know Who's the Boss over at your place! Get a set, will you. Let's make plans for you to take me off-roading so I can see what the fuss is all about. Maybe I'll sell both the M5 & Turbo and get me a Rubicon STICK. Call me Monday (if your wife let's you)

Selling Winter tires

Dr Bill,

I used to have a Wrangler Sahara and I really like the Rubicon but it will not be anywhere near as capable as your TT in most of the winter driving you do. 4WD vs AWD with PCM.
We get snow up here near Syracuse like M. Tyson gets domestic assault citations. The TT is awesome in the white stuff.

The Rubicon will be awesome for off roading. Be sure you sign up for a Jeep Jamboree. You will learn a lot and have a ton of fun. There is usually one in the summer in the Pocono mountains. It's a Jeep thang.

This is my everyday driver. It came STOCK with the following:
  1. Recaro seats (says Recaro right on them)
  2. Momo steering wheel
  3. KYB twin tube gas struts
  4. Extra large sway bays
  5. 3.5 liter V6
  6. Power switch that electronically changes the shift points and prolongs the rpms in each gear
  7. 18" wheels
  8. Torque on Demand electrically controlled automatic four wheel drive

It is called the VehiCROSS and it was made by Isuzu. It has oodles of power, handles like a sports car and actually beat the Cayenne to market by a few years. You can buy used ones for under $20K. Here are a few on eBay right now:
